To support and accelerate the growth of the group, NLMK Europe STRIP is looking for the

KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER AUTOMOTIVE & DOWNSTREAM

For Germany – based out of Düsseldorf

Main responsibilities

  • You develop and grow an existing portfolio of automotive & downstream clients while identifying and acquiring new key accounts for the strip business.

  • You build long-term, trust-based relationships by understanding client needs and aligning solutions with NLMK’s commercial strategy.

  • You create and execute a targeted sales plan in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

  • You work in close coordination with technical sales, planning, quality, and other operational teams to deliver outstanding customer service.

  • You ensure seamless execution of contracts and maintain a pulse on customer satisfaction.

  • You represent NLMK at trade fairs and industry events. Collaborate with marketing and share insights on market trends and competitor activity.

  • You monitor account performance, manage budgets, and regularly report on sales activity and opportunities.

  • You report directly to the Sales Director Automotive Europe.

Your profile 

  • You hold a degree with Commercial or Technical orientation.

  • You have a track record of B2B technical sales in an industrial environment and are familiar with the steel industry.

  • You have strong influencing and networking skills; ability to build trust and drive commercial relationships.

  • Customer-focused and results-driven, you come to a clear understanding of client objectives.

  • Effective team player with a collaborative mindset.

  • Well-organized, structured, and proactive with an entrepreneurial approach.

  • Comfortable in a multicultural, international environment.

  • You are willing to travel to customers on a regular basis.

  • You are fluent in German and English; knowledge of French is a plus.
