For Germany


You will be part of an international team focused on our Quenched & Tempered products that will operate with the support of other functions such as Marketing & Business Intelligence, Industry Segment Sales, Regional Sales and Middle Office (back office sales support).

In this function, you will develop, strengthen, follow and promote mostly the sales & product development of  Quenched & Tempered products.

Main responsibilities
  • You strengthen the presence of the strategic products QUARD & QUEND on their specific markets.

  • You visit and prospect existing and new potential customers ( +/- 60% travelling time ).

  • You understand the needs of our customers / the market; and the final applications of our steels.

  • You win offers in line with the commercial policy and the feasibility proposed by our factories (techniques + planning).

  • You enhance the technical advantages of our products QUARD & QUEND, emphasize their particular strengths for specific applications.

  • You manage the negotiation with customers from offer to order (price & delivery time, technical conditions, payment terms and all other commercial conditions) and the complete order processing.

  • You develop daily and constructive relationships with the different departments in the factories (mainly the Quality, Planning, Logistics and Finance departments).

  • You establish sales forecasts (1x/month) by customer, by factory and product type.

  • You participate in the commercial budget (tonnage/customer/product/factory) and action plan to achieve objectives in coordination with N+1 and marketing department.

  • You are present at exhibitions and trade fairs or equivalent networking events.

  • You report to the Head of Sales Q&T Europe, and provide weekly reporting on market situation, competitive monitoring, highlights to him.


Your profile 
  • You hold a degree with Commercial or Technical orientation.

  • You have a track record of technical product sales in an industrial environment and are familiar with the steel industry.

  • You are a strong influencer and networker, with excellent communication skills and know how to persuade (potential) clients.

  • You have a strong sense of team work and work with the colleagues on the best offerings for the clients.

  • You are very customer oriented and result driven. You have a strong client focus and understand their objectives.

  • You are comfortable working in a multicultural environment.

  • You are organised and structured; proactive and entrepreneurial.

  • You have a strong level of German and English, knowledge of other languages (French, Danish, Swedish, …) is a plus.
